2025 (SOPHOMORE): Second team All-Golden Coast Conference selection … appeared in 19 games and started in 17 … logged 423 minutes in the cage … had 104 saves while allowing 142 goals to opponents … added 10 steals and eight assists … had a 9-5 record on the year … had a career-high 13 saves against No. 15 UC Santa Barbara (Jan. 31) … had double-digit saves in games against No. 13 LMU (12) and No. 24 Cal Baptist (11) … had a career-high three steals in the season opener against No. 15 Michigan (Jan. 17) … played seven full games this season.
2024 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 12 games as a true freshman … earned four starts … totaled 159:54 minutes on the year … had 36 saves while allowing 36 goals … played one full game, earning the win over Concordia (April 6) … had a season-high six saves twice, vs Azusa Pacific (Jan. 26) and Concordia (April 6) … played 16 minutes in Fresno State’s quarterfinal game of the GCC tournament vs Santa Clara.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Villanova Preparatory school (Ojai, CA)... graduated in May 2023… played in the Tri Valley league, CIF Southern Section… played goalkeeper… 3-time league champions (21’,22’,23’), 2-time CIF first round appearance (21’,23’), 2022 CIF quarterfinalist … four year women’s water polo Goalkeeper … 1st team all-league … two-time MVP … second team All-CIF in 2022 and first team all-county… holds the Villanova career record for saves with 1,131 total in four years… 47 career goals with over 90% of those as full-court shots.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Elizabeth Tully and Mark Giles… has 2 siblings, Hanna Tully-Giles (also plays water polo at Fresno State) and Eva Tully-Giles… likes snowboarding, skiing, cooking and swimming… her biggest athletic trill is the adrenaline and energy within the competition…favorite athlete is Sam Hill because she’s a relatable and positive athlete. Hill encouraged her to try new positions outside of the goal when given the opportunity to broaden Ida’s understanding and knowledge… chose to attend Fresno State because of the welcoming team dynamics. Coming from a school where everyone is her family and friends she looked for an environment that is just as friendly and supportive. Fresno State has all of that plus more.
