Baseball Team Falls to 0-2 In Easter Tournament

Honolulu, Hawai'i - The Bulldogs fell to 0-2 in the Rainbow Easter Tournament as they lost to Nittaidai, a collegiate team from Japan, 4-2 on Tuesday. The game is considered an exhibition game and does not count against for Bulldogs' overall record.
Fresno State will be back in action tomorrow as it takes on Hawai'i-Pacific tomorrow at 11 a.m. during the third day of the tournament. The Sea Warriors are ranked 29th in Division-II baseball and have won 19 straight games.
Nittaidai jumped on the board first when it scored two runs of starter Zach Minor. The Eagles then picked up two more runs of Minor in the second inning. After the second inning Minor settled down and did not allow a run for the remaining five innings that he pitched.
For the first five innings the Bulldogs were baffled by Nittaidai pitcher Tokumichi Munemasa who threw a no-hitter through the first five innings. The Bulldogs finally got on the board in the seventh inning off reliever Tomoyuki K
