Fresno, Calif. - Fresno State womens soccer coach Peter Reynaud announced the signing of four players for the 1999-2000 season. They join a Bulldog soccer squad that made it to the semifinals of the WAC Tournament in November and loses only one player to graduation.
Mary-tyler Wahl comes to Fresno from Riverside Poly High where she was a four-year varsity team member at goalkeeper and was named team MVP her sophomore year, and league MVP her junior season. In her senior year she racked up seven shutouts and held opponents to a total of 10 goals in 17 games. Wahl has spent four years with the Riverside United club team, and two years in the goal for the Wolfpack Storm Under-19.
"Mary is one of the best goalkeepers in Southern California," Reynaud said. "She has extensive experience with the Southern California State team, as well as her club teams."
Fullback Nicole Hansen (Pleasanton, Calif./Foothill HS) led her varsity squad to league championships in 1997 and 1998 on her way to being named first-team all-Tri-County Athletic League. She was also the leagues south division MVP in 1998 and spent four years in the Northern California Olympic Development program.
"Nicole is one of the top defenders from Northern California with extensive experience on the NorCal state team," Reyanud said.

She is also a two-time team offensive MVP. At Mt. Whitney HS she led her team to the conference championship in 1996, scoring 10 goals and 2 assists.
"Shes a player with excellent skills and is a hard worker who will do well at this level," Reynaud said.
