Fresno State Spring Game Moved to Practice Field

Fresno, Calif. - Call it Ismael. Call it Bulldog-pallooza. Call it Hillith Fair. Call it what you will, but Fresno States spring football game is moving. Head coach Pat Hill issued the command to move the Spring Game to the practice field and invites Fresno States fans to join the Bulldogs in a festival-like setting for the game. Hill and the Bulldogs kick off an entire day of events at Fresno State on April 17 with the Spring Game starting at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for youth under 18. Spring Game tickets were included as part of the 1998 Bulldog Football season ticket package.
While Hill and the Bulldogs will be conducting the Spring Game as in previous years, with the goal of simulating gametime situations, Hill recognizes the desires of the fans to enjoy the atmosphere. With the move to the practice field, Fresno State is adding bounce houses and an interactive game for children in a play area, and children and grown-ups alike can get red and blue balloons from the Quarterback Club. Fans are welcome to soak in the sun and bring a picnic lunch or tailgate in the white parking lot. Barbeque tri-tip meals from Granny's will also be available at $7 each.
Drag your blankets out to the seating areas and have local celebrities judge your blanket in the inaugural Linus Awards. Four blankets will win awards based on these categories: most colors, most holes, ugliest and best cartoon-character sleeping bag. One blanket will win the coveted "Paint the Valley Red" Fresno State spirit award.
Prizes, for both the blanket contest and random drawings include: Fresno State Family Value Pack Football Season Tickets (2 packages); $25 gift certificates at The Bulldog Shop (2); $25 gift certificates for the Bulldog Brewing Company (2) and one-year memberships to the Bulldog Quarterback Club (2).
Saturdays events at Fresno State include not only the Spring Game, but third-ranked Bulldog softball vs. San Jose State at 1 p.m. at Bulldog Diamond and Bulldog baseball vs. the Spartans at 7 p.m. at Beiden Field. Fans can bring their football Spring Game tickets to both the Fresno State baseball and softball games and get $2 off the regular adult general admission ticket and $1 off regular youth GA ticket.

WHERE: Fresno State practice field (southwest of Bulldog Stadium) Entrances are located off the Blue lot (directly south of Bulldog Stadium and the White lot (directly west of Bulldog Stadium).
WHEN: Saturday, April 17th at 10:30 a.m. both parking lots will open at 9 a.m. for picnicking or tailgating
