Luczak Eliminated From NCAA Men's Tennis Championships

Athens, Ga. - Fresno State sophomore Peter Luczak was eliminated in the third round of the 1999 NCAA Mens Tennis Championships today in Athens, Ga., to conclude his season with a 32-14 record.
The 64th-ranked Luczak fell to 50th-ranked Nathan Overholser of Florida, 6-3, 6-3.
By reaching the third round, Luczak became the third Fresno State player to earn All-America honors in tennis and the first since 1996. The other two Fresno State All-Americans are Fredrik Berg (1995, 1996) and Fredrik Geirs (1996).
Luczak upset 5th-ranked Francisco Rodriguez of Alabama, 7-6, 2-6, 7-5, and 39th-ranked Tom Hand of LSU, 7-5, 6-3, to reach the round of 16.
