Bulldogs Finish Fourth in USC/Cleveland Southwestern

FRESNO, Calif. - Today at the Cleveland Southwestern Intercollegiate, hosted by USC, the Bulldogs finished in a tie for fourth with Pepperdine University with a final score of 874. The 54-hole course was won by No. 5 ranked Arizona State with a final round of 279 and a three-round total score of 856, to overtake No. 7 ranked BYU who took second(862). No. 27 ranked Oregon took third with a final total of 871.
Of the 14 teams that were at the Intercollegiate, 10 of the teams were ranked in the top 30 of Golfstat's Head-to-Head ranking, including Fresno State that went into this tournament ranked No.13.
In the individual finishes, Ryan Lavoie, of Oregon took first with 211, 2-under-par. Lavoie beat out Oregon State's John Lepak by one stroke. Lepak finished with a 212, 1-under par.
In the Bulldog individual scores three Bulldogs finished in the top twenty. Todd Rose (71-71-74)and Danny Pannicia (74-69-73) tied for 12th place with a 216, 3-over-par. Ryan King was right behind in 15th place and a final score of 217 (72-72-73), 4-over-par. This was both Pannicia and King's sixth top twenty finish in the Bulldogs six tournaments this season.
In other Bulldog scores Mike Louden (73-76-82) and Nick Watney (78-77-76) finished the tournament in a tie for 67th place. Their totals were 231, 18-over-par.
