FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs are steadily moving up the rankings across the nation currently hitting the No. 5 spot in the Golfstat NCAA men's division I poll. Fresno State holds a 10-3 record against other top 25 ranked teams in the nation and an adjusted scoring average 72.73.
Also ranked nationally by Golfstat are three Bulldog golfers. Ryan King moved up from the 50th spot to a No. 41 individual ranking. Todd Rose now ranks 52nd, moving up from 65th, and Danny Paniccia earned a 64th ranking climbing from an 85th place ranking last week. King currently holds a per-round average of 71.56 as well as six top 20 finishes in the six tournaments played in this season. Rose holds a 71.67 per-round average and broke his lowest single round career score earlier this season with a 66 in the third round of the Fresno Lexus Classic. Paniccia holds a per-round average of 71.80 as well as six top 20 finishes in the Bulldogs' six tournaments this year.
All three Bulldogs are in line to break the Fresno State all-time school record for lowest season average per-round. The record currently stands at 71.89 set back in 1980 by Tim Norris.
