Women's Tennis Defeats Pennsylvania at Home 9-0

FRESNO, Calif. -
The women's tennis team defeated Pennsylvania today 9-0 at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center for their seventh straight win. The Bulldogs improve to 9-5 while Pennsylvania falls to 5-7.
Fresno State started off the morning by sweeping all six singles matches. At No. 1 Kandiss Creighton (Sr., Weldon, Calif.) took her first set 6-1 but then lost the second 6-7 (9-7). Creighton came back in the third set 6-3 to defeat Anastasia Pozdniakova for the match.
In doubles play Ewa Grusiecka (So., Sopot, Poland) and Kelly Ramirez (Fr., Ontario, Calif.) came back from losing 4-1 to Louani Bascara and Anastasia Pozddniakova to win the match 8-6.
The Bulldogs travel to No. 8 USC on Wednesday for their next match.
