Wenholz Leads After Day One of Easter Decathlon

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's Scott Wenholz had a strong day, racking up 3,654 points to stand in first place after day one of the Fresno State Easter Decathlon/Heptathlon at Warmerdam Field.
Wenholz won the long jump, shot put and the high jump en route to his current standing. FS's Donnell Wickett is currently second with 3,275 points. He was impressive in the 400 meters, which the junior won with a 50.08.
Another Bulldog, Justin Schwartz, rests in third with 3,089 points. Jeff Stanners, competing unattached, is fourth with 3,062. Joe Hartford of Pomona College and Brandon Tedrow of LaVerne are fifth and sixth with 2,968 and 1,779 points, respectively.
