No. 19 Baseball Takes Act To Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - No. 19 (USA Today Baseball Weekly) Fresno State returns to action on Sunday afternoon when it travels to Santa Clara to play the Broncos. The game is a makeup of the Feb. 13 contest that was postponed due to rain. The Bulldogs bring a 24-8 record into the contest, while the Broncos, losers of seven of their last eight games, sport an 11-23 mark. First pitch from Buck Shaw Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs, winnners of 24 of their past 30 games, swept a doubleheader from Santa Clara on Feb. 12 by scores of 5-3 and 16-3. Fresno State now leads the all-time series that dates back to the 1957 season, 64-36. In fact, the Bulldogs have won four consecutive games in the all-time series and five of the last six meetings.
Right-hander Tom Graham (Sr., Modesto, Calif.) is scheduled to get the start for Fresno State. Graham, who will be making his 11th start of the season, is 4-3 with a 4.10 ERA this season. He leads the team in innings pitched (59.1) and strikeouts (51).
The Broncos are slated to counter with right-hander Camedon Kelley. Kelley is 1-5 with a 9.21 ERA in nine games (eight starts) this season.
