FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State defeated Cal State Bakersfield 1-0 in an exhibition game at Bulldog Stadium. The result and statistics will not count toward season records.
Forward Jackie Jewell scored the only goal of the night from within 10 feet with 25:27 into the first half. The `Dogs dominated the green, outshooting the Roadrunners 30-5. Cal State Bakersfield's goalkeeper, Stephanie Hall, was kept busy all night coming up with seven saves.
The Bulldogs have another exhibition game at Sacramento State on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs' first official game will be at Bulldog Stadium versus Pepperdine at 8 p.m.
