Blue/Gray Fall Baseball World Series Begins Thursday

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldog baseball team will conclude their fall season by playing an intersquad world series beginning Thursday. Other games will follow on Friday and Saturday and Monday and Tuesday, if necessary. They will play a best three out of five series at Pete Beiden Field.
On Thursday, the starting pitchers will be junior left-hander Beau Hintz (Stockton, Calif.) for the Gray team and junior right-hander Nick Moran (Elk Grove, Calif.) for the Blue team. Last season Hintz went 5-3 with a 3.45 ERA in 18 games. He had three quality starts, two complete games, one shutout and 54 strikeouts in 75.2 innings of work. Moran went 3-2 with a 4.39 ERA in 20 games last season. He had six starts with 38 strikeouts in 53.1 innings of work. The series will be open to the public.
