Women's Tennis Defeats Washington State 5-2

Fresno State won five of six singles matches to claim the victory, highlighted by All-American junior Kim Niggemeyer's upset of No. 51 Erica Perkins 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 at the No. 1 slot. Liesl Fichtbauer continued her strong play, defeating Anna Moura 6-2, 6-0. Simone Jardim, Ewa Grusiecka and Courtney Jantz also won their singles matches.
The Cougars claimed the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Fresno State's tandem of Jardim and Niggemeyer defeated Tamara Filipovic and Perkins at the No. 1 spot 8-5.
