Fresno Lexus Golf Classic was October 5-6
The 39th annual tournament was at Sunnyside Country Club. The course is 6,803 yards and is a Par 72 course. The slope is 130 and the course rating is 72.5. The course was built in 1906.
Tournament Information
The Fresno State Bulldogs won the tournament with a 834 (-30). This was 40 strokes higher than the second place teams. Stanford, Nevada and UOP finished second with a tournament score of 874.
Watney and Echols are a One-Two Punch with Strong Support
Nick Watney (Dixon, Calif) won the tournament with a score of 71-63-69-203 (-13). Jonathan Echols (Hanford, Calif) came in second with a score of 70-71-67-208 (-8). Rounding out the top 4 places is Sophomore Chad Spencer (Rocklin, Calif). Spencer finished with a score of 72-70-71-213 (-3).

Placing 18th is freshman Ian Nelson with a score of 84-69-67-220 (+4). Senior Dustin Smith of (Crescent City, Calif) came in 33rd with a score of 74-75-74-223 (+7). Ryan Carter (Hacienda Heights, Calif). came in 51st with a score of 75-78-74-227 (+11). Sophomore Tony Harmon (Upland, Calif.) placed 83rd with a score of 79-79-78-236 (+20). George McKean placed 95th with a score of 81-77-84-242 (+26). Sophomore Eric Witherall (Carlsbad, Calif) placed 98th with a score of 81-80-83-244 (+28).

The last Bulldog to win the Fresno Lexus Golf Classic was Dana Booth in 1977. Fresno State hasn't recorded a win since 1994 and not a win at Sunnyside Country Club since 1984.
