- The crowd of 42,881 was the largest in Bulldog Stadium history, tying the record originally established Sept. 29, 2001, against Louisiana Tech and tied Oct. 19, 2001, against Boise State.
- The Bulldogs' first six plays from scrimmage were passing plays.
- Rodney Wright had eight catches for 145 yards, the fourth consecutive game he has gone over 100 yards receiving. He now has 990 yards receiving this season.
- David Carr had 334 yards passing and now has 2,879 this season. That moves him into fifth place on the single-season passing yardage list. He entered today's game ninth but passed Kevin Sweeney, Billy Volek, Dave Telford and his own mark last year.
- Fresno State has scored on its first possession of the game in five consecutive contests.
- The 31 first half points were the most scored by the Bulldogs in the opening stanza this season.
- Deandre Gilbert caught a touchdown pass, the second of his career. It also meant that David Carr had completed a touchdown pass to nine different Fresno State receivers this season.
- David Carr's five touchdown passes tied his career high, established in last year's Silicon Valley Football Classic.
- Bernard Berrian's 57-yard punt return was Fresno State's longest of the season.
- David Carr's 300-yard passing night was his fifth in a row and seventh in eight games.
- The Bulldogs have scored 36 touchdowns this year, and David Carr is responsible for 29 of them (26 passing, 3 rushing)
- Anthony Limbrick's interception was his first of the year and fifth of his career.
- The 52 points were the most FS has scored since it had 58 against Nevada on Oct. 14, 2000.
