FRESNO, Calif. - As spring drills wind down, head coach Pat Hill can't help but temper his enthusiasm for the 2001 season. The Bulldogs will hold their final scrimmage of the spring on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Fresno State practice facility. The scrimmage is open to the public and fans are asked to sit on the burm.
"From a technical standpoint and a fundamental stand point, this has been a great spring session," Hill said. "Due to some injuries, we have not had a chance to get in as much team work as we would like, but the guys are really doing well learning techniques. This has been our best teaching session during any spring since I've been here. We are looking forward to the season."
In addition, the Bulldog coaching staff will hold a clinic on Friday and Saturday. The clinic featured the Bulldog coaches plus special guest Mike Martz, a Fresno State graduate and current head coach of the St. Louis Rams.
Spring drills conclude on April 6 with the annual Spring Game in Bulldog Stadium.
