Baseball Completes Second Game Of Blue/Gray World Series

FRESNO, Calif. - The Blue Team won game two of the Blue/Gray World Series 12-7 to take a 2-0 lead. The Blue Team were led once again by Brian Pierce who hit another homerun and drove in 3 RBI with two runs scored.
"Pierce has been hitting them in practices too," said Coach Bennett, "He's showing a lot of power early in the preseason."
Also contributing for the Blue were seniors Tobey Riday-White and Casey Creamer. Riday-White went 2-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Creamer went 2-4 with three RBI and two runs scored.
Sophomore Nathan Lee came in the fourth inning to earn the win. Lee pitched four innings giving up only one run. For the Gray Team, starting pitcher junior Mike Hernandez got the loss. Hernandez gave up seven runs in four innings.
At the plate for the Gray Team, they were led by Jared Walker who went 2-5 with two homeruns and three RBI. Will Thomas also hit a homerun and went 3-4 with two runs scored. Scott Beshears ent 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
The third game will be Sunday at 6 p.m. Starting for the Gray Team will be Matt Scott and for the Blue Team will be David Bair.
