King Selected as Portrait of Success Honoree

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State head women's basketball coach Britt King has been selected as a 2002 Portrait of Success Honoree by KSEE 24 as part of the celebration of African-American History Month.

King and four other community leaders will be recognized at a special luncheon Feb. 4 at the Copper River Country Club.

The Portraits of Success is a five-part news series scheduled to begin Monday, Feb. 4, and run through Friday, Feb. 8. The public services vignettes will begin rotating that same week and will play during the entire month of February.

King is in her fourth year at the helm of the Bulldogs. This year, King guided Fresno State to victories in five of its first seven games, the program's fastest start since the 1995-96 season. In addition, FS has won six of its nine home games.
