Mustangs fullback Kris Briggs broke the shutout with a 1-yard dive into the end zone with 2:24 left in the game. SMU had its previous two second-half drives inside the Bulldogs 20 stopped, one on downs at the 5 and another by Marc Daley's interception at the 2.
