Track and Field Completes Annual Turkey Trials

FRESNO, Calif.- The track and field squad began preseason workouts on Wednesday afternoon, competing in its annual Turkey Trials competition. The purpose of the Turkey Trials is to provide a friendly competition amongst present Fresno State track and field athletes, former Bulldog student-athletes and other community invites.
Both male and female athletes participated in the events, which included traditional track and field events as well as the highly-anticipated co-ed Parlauf Relay. The tradition at the Turkey Trials is for the winners of each event to receive a Turkey Trials t-shirt, with the outstanding athletes of the meet garnering frozen turkeys. Junior Katie Christianson (Indian Well, Calif.) led all competitors by winning four events.
