FRESNO, Calif. - Though Fresno State suffered a loss against highly ranked SMU, they turned in an impressive performance against the Mustangs.The Bulldogs snatched the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. Nick Fustar and Dustin Ilic defeated Johan Brunstrom and Cohn 9-8. Hector Almada and Stefan Suta took down Lukasz Senczyszyn and Gwinyai Chingoka 9-8. Alex Krohn and Greg Shearer lost to Krystian Pfeiffer and Ryan Mauck 8-1.
In singles, No. 77 Fustar and Pfeiffer battled it out in three sets for the decisive point, with Fustar ultimately falling 7-5, 4-6, 6-1. Almada also grabbed a win by taking down Alexis Rudzinski 6-1, 6-3. At the No. 6 position, Shearer defeated Mauck 6-3, 6-1.
