FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs suffered a loss on the road to the undefeated Longhorns 7-0.
The duo of Hector Almada and Greg Shearer fell to Rodrigo Echagaray and Jose Zarhi at the No. 1 spot 8-0. The pair was followed by Alex Krohn and Stefan Suta who were defeated by Alastair Jenkin and Ryan Haymond 8-5. Nick Fustar and Dustin Ilic lost to Will Clinton and Drew Hoskins 8-5.
In singles, Fustar was defeated at the No. 1 spot by Jean Simon 6-3, 6-4. Hector Almada played for the first time this season at the No. 2 position, but lost to Echagaray 6-4, 6-2. Stefan Suta was taken down by Zarhi 6-2, 6-1. Alex Krohn battled it out at the No. 4 spot , finally losing to Michael Domanski in a tie breaker 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). Dustin Ilic and Greg Shearer also lost their matches with a 7-5, 7-5 loss for Ilic against Roger Gubser and a 6-4, 6-4 defeat for Shearer to Jenkin.
The Bulldogs resume play today against SMU in Dallas.
