FRESNO, Calif. - Senior RHP Bon Runyon (Atwater, Calif.) was named WAC Pitcher of the Week for March 18-24. Runyon threw his first shutout of the season against Louisiana Tech striking out eight while walking just one.

Runyon had a no-hitter going through six innings and wound up facing just 29 batters in the three-hit complete game win. It was his third consecutive win and second straight complete game win.

Rice shortstop Eric Arnold was named WAC Player of the Week.

The Bulldogs will be in action tomorrow at 5 p.m. against No. 5 Houston.
