Track and Field Set to Host Cal-Nevada Championships

Fresno State will host the Cal-Nevada Championships, Friday. March 29 through Saturday, March 30. Fresno State will join 31 other schools in the two day competition. The following schools will be competing: Cal State Northridge, Cal Poly (SLO), Cal Poly (Pomona), Claremont, LaVerne, UCLA, UC Riverside, Occidental, UC Santa Barbara, Fresno Pacific, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Los Angeles, Pomona Pitzer, Cal State Fullerton, San Francisco State, Sacramento State, Westmont, Redlands, UC San Diego, Whittier, Cal Tech, Humbolt, Cal State San Marcos, Concordia, Long Beach State, UC Davis, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Nevada, San Diego State, Chapman and Sonoma State. Events begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday with the men's hammer throw. To view a complete schedule visit gobulldogs.com. Complete results will be available online as well following each day of competition. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for college and high school students and $4.00 for kids 14 and under.

Women's Cal-Nevada Last Season
At the 2001 Cal-Nevada Championships the Bulldogs captured 10th place with 36 points. San Diego State was first with 110, California came in second with 83, Nevada had 59, UCLA was fourth with 58.67, CS Northridge had 51, Sacramento State had 46, UC Davis was seventh with 40.50, UNLV had 39 and UC Santa Barbara was ninth with 38.
Men's Cal-Nevada Last Season
At the 2001 Cal-Nevada Championships the Bulldogs captured fifth place with 63 points. California was first with 127, UCLA second with 125, CS Northridge third with 107 and UC Davis fourth with 64 points.
