Tarczy earns podium finish on day three

CLOVIS, Calif. - The Fresno State track and field team wrapped up the 2026 Credit Union 1 Outdoor Mountain West Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Junior Liz Tarczy was the lone Bulldog to earn a podium finish on Saturday, taking third in the high jump. Tarczy secured her third career medal in the outdoor high jump, taking third with a jump of 1.79m.
Junior Jamarcus Phillips finished ninth in the discus throw with a new personal-best mark of 54.19m. He hit the mark on his third attempt, advancing him to the finals. On the women's side, Tearra Haney also finished 9th with a throw of 48.95m.
Josh Dunu took sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 14.75m. It was his highest finish at the Mountain West Championships.
The Bulldog women finished in 11th place with 14 points while the men finished ninth with 10 points.
Fresno State will prepare for the NCAA West Regionals at the end of this month in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
