Baseball Hosts San Jose State This Weekend

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State will look to start anew after falling to a 6-11 record in non-conference play. This weekend they will open WAC play against a familiar foe in San Jose State. The Bulldogs hold a commanding 117-55 edge against the Spartans all time.
Last season, FS took 4-of-6 games from San Jose State who was picked to finish fourth in the WAC preseason poll.
The Spartans come into Beiden Field with a 13-5 record. The have outscored their opponents 59-6 in their last three games which have been against Santa Clara and San Francisco State.
The Bulldogs are looking to snap a three-game losing streak that came at the hands of No. 19 Nebraska last weekend. It was the first time this season FS failed to win at least one game from a ranked team and the first time it was swept this season.
Fresno State will counter Spartan RHP Jeremy Rogelstad with senior RHP Bob Runyon. Rogelstad is 4-1 with a 1.63 ERA this season and has been selected WAC Pitcher of the Week twice this season.
San Jose State will start LHP Jahseam George in game two. Fresno State's starters for games two and three are TBA. Game three starter for San Jose State is also TBA.
The series is scheduled for Fri.-Sun. 7:05/7:05/1:05 p.m. All three games will be on KMJ AM 580 with Paul Loeffler and Steve Hosey.
