Men's Tennis Falls to UCLA 7-0

FRESNO, Calif. - Top-ranked UCLA defeated Fresno State 7-0 on Friday afternoon at the Los Angeles Tennis Center, dropping the Bulldogs' record to 1-1.
The lone bright spot of the day came at No. 2 singles, where Greg Shearer took Marcin Matkowski to three sets. Shearer ended up losing 2-6, 6-0, 6-3.
UCLA(2-0) got a jump on the match right away, sweeping all three doubles matches for a 1-0 lead. In singles, the Bruins took five of the six matches in straight sets.
The road gets no easier for Fresno State tomorrow. The Bulldogs take on seventh-ranked USC at 2:30 p.m. in Los Angeles.
