Fresno State closes out a 13-game homestand with a three-game non-conference series against defending Big Ten Champion Minnesota ... The Bulldogs are 8-2 for the homestand and have won a season high seven games in a row ... FS was 12-12 after 24 games last year and won 11 straight to sit at 17-12 after 29 games ... The Golden Gophers are in the midst of nine-game West Coast road trip ... Minnesota swept a three-game series against Pacific, lost to San Jose State and split a two-game set Sacramento State before wrapping up the trip against the Bulldogs ... UM is currently on Spring Break ...All three ganes will be broadcast on KMJ 580 AM ... Fresno State posted a 6-0 record in the Pepsi/Johnny Quik Classic to win the tournament for the second straight year and the 13th time overall ... The Bulldogs went 3-0 in red division play ... Kyle Atrat went 4-for-4 with three RBI to lead Fresno State to an 8-4 win over Penn in the tourney opener ... The Bulldogs pounded out 15 hits and batted around twice in a 15-6 victory over Illinois State ... Tory Davis went 2-for-3 with three RBI to pace the squad to a 7-2 win over Penn State to complete division play undefeated ... In cross-divisional action, Donnie Bair pitched five shutout innings as the Bulldogs tallied a 7-3 win over Bowling Green ... Ryan Haag hit a two-out two-run triple in the seventh inning to lift Fresno to a 3-2 win over Cal Poly and advance to the championship game .... The game was called in the bottom of the eighth inning due to rain ... Casey McGehee hit a one-out game-winning RBI double in the eleventh inning to defeat Gonzaga and win the classic ... McGehee and Chris Patrick were named to the all-tournament team ... Patrick batted .320 (8-for-25) with a homer and four RBI while McGehee was 9-for-25 (.360) with two doubles and three RBI.
