FRESNO, Calif.- The women's basketball squad will hold its annual season-ending banquet on Sunday, Apr. 13, at 4 p.m. in the North Gym.
The event, titled "Farewell to the North Gym," will highlight accomplishments from the 2002-03 season as well as commemorate the end of the North Gym era.
The event is open to the public and admission is $10. The banquet includes the presentation of team awards along with a recap of the Bulldog's final season in the North Gym. Dinner will be provided, along with a raffle and live auction.
The banquet will also feature several youth-oriented activities that include a clinic, face-painting and a petting zoo. Coaches and players will also be available for autographs.
"This should be a great event for our fans and the entire community," said head coach Stacy Johnson-Klein. "Our fans played an important role in the team's success this season so this is a great way to close out the year."
Fresno State finished the 2002-03 season at 21-13 overall, a 12-game improvement over last year's 9-20 ledger. The successful campaign marks Fresno State's first winning season since the team went 14-13 in 1996-97.
