Track And Field Announces Recent Signees

FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State track and field program has announced the addition of 15 student-athletes, all of whom have signed national letters of intent to join the Bulldog squad for the 2003-04 season.
"All of these athletes have the ability to step in and contribute immediately," said head coach Bob Fraley. "This is a very talented class that should help us challenge in both individual and confernece competition."
The following is a breakdown of the recent signees:

Brittney Gilbert Tulare, Calif. Tulare HS...2002 state meet qualifier; owns a 57.2 in the 400-mtr. run
Joe Guerin Gardena, Calif. Leuzinger HS...marks include a 55-0 in the shotput and 168-0 in the discus
Sean Marlzolf Lodi, Calif. San Joaquin Delta JC...finished second at state JC meet with a 1:52.50 in the 800-mtr. run
Ryan Moore Visalia, Calif. Redwood HS...placed eighth at state meet in the 300-meter hurdles
Roy Phelps Coalinga, Calif. Coalinga HS...2002 state qualifier; main event is the triple jump
Danielle Ramirez Palmdale, Calif....main event is distance running
Katie Richardson Montagne, Calif. Yreka HS...owns a 157-10 in the discus and a 39-8 in the shot put
Sarah Robinson Fresno, Calif. Hoover HS...events include pole vault and high jump; 2003 state meet qualifier
Samantha Sarpy Fresno, Calif. Central HS...personal-best in the 400-mtr. run is a 56.2
Kyle Sunderland Springfield, Ore. University of Oregon...ran a 1:52.50 in the 800-mtr. run; transfer
Reggie Thomas Fresno, Calif. Sunnyside HS...events include 100 and 200-mtr. runs
Mallory Webb Dundee, Ore. Newberry HS...personal-best in the javelin stands at 159-4
