Bulldog Football Single Game Tickets On Sale August 1

FRESNO, Calif. - As the Fresno State football season ticket renewal campaign comes to a close, the athletics department announced today that single game tickets for the 2003 home schedule will go on sale beginning Friday, August 1. Season tickets will remain available to the general public through the Sept. 5 home opener against Oregon State. A limited number of special ticket packages, including two Family Plans, also remain available.
As a special offer for current season ticket owners, single game tickets will be available beginning July 21 through August 1. Season ticket holders who wish to take advantage of this offer need to contact the athletics ticket office and refer to their customer number. Anyone purchasing season tickets between now and July 21 can benefit in this special offer.
Fans have until Aug. 21 to purchase Oregon State single tickets for $40. After that, tickets for the Oregon State game will be sold for $45. The Beavers are a preseason consensus Top 25-ranked team. The Bulldogs last hosted the Beavers in 2001. A Bulldog Stadium record crowd of 42,410 watched Fresno State beat Oregon State 44-24. The Beavers were the nation's preseason No. 1 ranked team by Sports Illustrated that year.
Single game tickets for the four WAC home games are $25 each. The Bulldog's WAC home schedule includes Louisiana Tech, Rice, arch-rival San Jose State and defending WAC champion Boise State. The Portland State game tickets are $20 each.
The Bulldogs are ranked No. 21 in the nation in the Sporting News preseason poll and own a five-game winning streak, having won eight of their last 10 games. The Bulldogs defeated Georgia Tech 30-21 in the 2002 Silicon Valley Football Classic.
"With the excitement heading into this season, ticket sales have been very strong," said athletics director Scott Johnson. "Being ranked in the preseason top 25 and with a strong home schedule we encourage fans to buy the season ticket packages to get the best seats available."
