Football Single-Game Tickets Go On Sale Aug. 1

FRESNO, Calif. - With just 35 days remaining before Fresno State's home opener against nationally-ranked Oregon State, single-game tickets will go on sale beginning Friday, Aug. 1, at the Bulldog Ticket Office. Tickets for the Oregon State game are $40 each. Starting Aug. 22, ticket prices will increase to $45 each.
The Beavers are a preseason consensus Top 25 ranked team. The Bulldogs last hosted the Beavers in 2001. A then-Bulldog Stadium record crowd of 42,410 watched Fresno State beat Oregon State 44-24. The Beavers were the nation's preseason No. 1 ranked team by Sports Illustrated that year.
Single-game tickets for the four WAC home games are $25 each. The Bulldogs' WAC home schedule includes Louisiana Tech, Rice, archrival San Jose State and defending WAC champion Boise State. Tickets to the Portland State game are $20 each. Those tickets also go on sale Friday.
Season tickets will remain available to the general public through the Sept. 5 home opener against Oregon State. A limited number of special ticket packages, including two Family Plans, remain available.
"This might be one of the best home schedules in history," said head coach Pat Hill. "Oregon State is a very good football team. They proved that last year. We are looking forward to Boise State and Louisiana Tech coming back to town. I expect San Jose State to be improved, and they gave us a scare last year."
The Bulldogs are ranked No. 21 in the nation in the Sporting News' preseason poll and own a five-game winning streak. Fresno State finished the 2002 campaign by winning eight of its last 10 games. The Bulldogs defeated Georgia Tech 30-21 in last year's Silicon Valley Football Classic.
