- The win improves Fresno State to 31-5 at home under Pat Hill, including victories in 24 of their last 27 WAC home games.
- The Bulldogs are now 10-2 under Hill the week after losing to a ranked opponent, including 2-0 this season.
- Fresno State's victory improves it to 7-0 all-time in WAC openers under Hill. All-time, the Bulldogs are 9-3 in league lid-lifters.
- The Bulldogs were shut out in the first half of a home game for the first time since Oct. 18, 1986, against Pacific. Fresno State won that contest 10-9.
- Fresno State has yet to score in the first quarter of a game in 2003. In fact, the Bulldogs have compiled just 10 first half points.
- Dwayne Wright racked up 177 yards on 25 carries. It marked the third consecutive meeting between Fresno State and Louisiana Tech that a Bulldog RB had a career night. In 2001, Paris Gaines rumbled for 203 yards in a 38-28 Fresno State win. Last year, Rodney Davis rushed for 221 yards.
- Fresno State's 299 yards rushing was easily its most of the season. The Bulldogs' previous high was 123 last week at No. 1 Oklahoma.
- The 299 yards rushing was the team's most since Nov. 20, 1999, when Fresno State had 351 in a 63-12 victory against San Jose State.
- Manuel Sanchez picked up his second interception of the year tonight. The Bulldogs now have eight INTs in 2003.
- Duncan Reid saw his first action on offense and caught his first pass of the year.
- One week after throwing for 436 yards in a 20-19 victory at Michigan State, Louisiana Tech QB Luke McCown had just 165 yards against Fresno State. He was also sacked twice and threw one interception.
- Fresno State held Louisiana Tech to two field goals on the night. It marked the first time the Bulldogs stopped a team from notching a TD since Sept. 23, 2000, when Fresno State defeated California 17-3 at Bulldog Stadium.
