Golf is in 10th after second round at UOP

STOCKTON, Calif.- Fresno State began its season yesterday, competing in the 12-team UOP Invitational. The Bulldogs are in 10th place after the second round with a score of 292-294=586. Georgia Southern is in first with 286-279=565, while Long Beach State is in second with 287-285-572.
Individually for the Bulldogs, playing individually and leading for the 'Dogs is sophomore Mark Modglin tied for fifth with 69-70=139, senior Chad Spencer is tied for eighth with 71-69-140, junior Ryan Carter is tied for 28th with 74-72=146, senior Jeremy Moreno is tied for 47th with 75-74=149, freshman Daniel Buell is tied for 51st with 72-78=150, junior George McKean is tied for 56th with 77-75=152 and sophomore Ryan McDonald is tied for 61st with 75-79=154. Currently in first place is Vinnie Poncino from UC Irvine with 67-68=135.
The 'Dogs will continue play Tue., Sept. 23.
