FRESNO, Calif.- Nevada's strong offensive attack dictated the flow of play during the Wolf Pack's four-game victory (30-20, 30-24, 21-30, 30-23) over Fresno State on Saturday afternoon in the North Gym.Fresno State drops to 9-8 overall and 2-3 in the WAC, while Nevada improves to 10-6 overall and 3-2 in conference action.
"Nevada's transition today was very fast and they were the stronger team offensively," said head coach Lindy Vivas. "We had trouble stopping their offense, in particular Salaia Salave'a. Their middle blocking was impressive in the first two games, we fought back with a good effort in the third game but just didn't have enough."
Fresno State, which has dropped two straight since a sweep of San Jose State last weekend, was led by Christianna Reneau's 21 kills. Ilima Sam Fong dished out 32 assists, while Robin Keune chipped in with nine assists.
