Classic Coming Up
The annual tradition known as the McCaffrey Classic takes place on Dec. 3-4 at the Save Mart Center. This year's participating teams are South Florida, Grand Canyon, Mississippi Valley State and Fresno State. It is the 26th season the Bulldogs have hosted a non-conference tournament, and Fresno State has won the championship 12 times. In 2003, UC Irvine took the title by virtue of its 2-0 record, the first time the Bulldogs did not win their own tournament since 1995. This year marks the fourth time the McCaffrey Group has served as the title sponsor of the classic. The group was also the title sponsor of last year's McCaffrey WAC Tournament, played at the Save Mart Center.
