- Wendell Mathis had three rushing touchdowns in the game, bringing his season total up to a team-high 11.
- Entering the game, the Bulldogs had scored on 17 of their last 18 first half possessions (16 TDs, 1 FG). Tonight, Fresno State scored on six of its eight first half possessions, bringing the team's four-game totals to 23 scores on their last 26 possessions (20 TDs, 3 FGs).
- Brett Visintainer's second quarter field goal was just his second attempt in the last four games. Visintainer is now 9-for-13 on the year.

During this stretch, Fresno State has allowed only 17 points, meaning they have outscored their opponents in the first half by a combined score of 145-17.
- Jaron Fairman's 54-yard third quarter TD was his second career touchdown reception and the team's third-longest play from scrimmage this year.
- In the past two weeks, Fresno State QB Paul Pinegar has only attempted 21 passes. At the same time, the Bulldogs have attempted 57 rushes.

The Bulldogs have had three different 100-yard rushers this year (Sumlin, Dwayne Wright, Wendell Mathis).
- In the home game of his career, senior Mark Wood caught a touchdown pass, the third of his career and first of 2004.
- The win improved Fresno State to 22-12-1 all-time against Nevada. The Bulldogs have defeated the Wolf Pack six games in a row by a combined score of 287-116. Here are Fresno State's last six games against Nevada: - 1999: 49-24 - 2000: 58-21 - 2001: 61-14 - 2002: 38-30 - 2003: 27-10 - 2004: 54-17
