Sinn Still Alive in UNLV Men's Tennis Fall Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - Andy Sinn is the lone Bulldog still alive in the main draw of singles in the UNLV Men's Tennis Fall Classic, being played this weekend at the Fertitta Complex in Las Vegas.
Placed in Flight 2 of the singles bracket, Sinn won his first round match over Johnny Thornton of Tennessee 6-4, 7-6. In the second round, he dispatched Sean Hubbard of UNLV, also by scores of 6-4, 7-6.
Two other Bulldogs won their first round matches. In Flight 1, Jakub Cech knocked off Zach Ganger of Utah 6-4, 6-1. In Flight 2, Sergiu Modoc defeated Tennessee's David Baxendine 6-2, 6-1. Both lost in the second round.
In doubles, Fresno State's teams of Sergiu Modoc and Charles Irie and Sam Tadevosian and Sam Gibbs both lost in the first round by a score of 9-8.
