Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno State baseball coaching staff has announced the signing of two more recruits in the fall period, Jason Sullivan and Loren Storey. Both Sullivan and Storey are currently attending Crowder College in Neosho, Mo.
A 6-3 right-handed pitcher from Joplin, Jason Sullivan has been drafted twice by the Chicago White Sox, and will likely be drafted again in June. He was named all-conference three times and was all-state his senior year at Joplin High School. "Jason should compete for a starting job right away," said head coach Mike Batesole. "His fastball has been clocked as high as 92 MPH and he compliments it with an 80 MPH slider."
A speedy utility player, Loren Storey was also named all-state his senior year, and was first-team all-conference for two years at Branson High School. "Loren is a contact hitter who has tremendous range in the outfield, and will get the chance to steal some bases," said Batesole.
The signing of Sullivan and Storey completes the fall signing class, which includes six pitchers and eight position players.
