Men's Basketball Holds Annual Awards Banquet

FRESNO, Calif. - Shantay Legans received three awards, one being the team's Most Outstanding Player, during the Fresno State men's basketball awards banquet, held Tuesday night at Pardini's.
Legans, a second-team All-WAC honoree, led the Bulldogs by scoring 15 points and dishing out a WAC-best 5.6 assists per game. He finished the year having played in 441 consecutive minutes, and on the year averaged a league-leading 38.2 minutes per game.
The senior finished his career near the top of the WAC heap in several statistics, including assist-turnover ratio (2nd, 2.66), three-pointers per game (3rd, 2.64), free throw percentage (3rd, .845), three-point percentage (4th, .363), scoring (9th, 15.0) and steals (10th, 1.39). He scored in double figures in a team-high 23 games for Fresno State, which finished the year 14-15 (8-8 WAC) and with a loss in the quarterfinals of the WAC Tournament.
Several other Bulldogs were recognized at the banquet, which was attended by over 300 people.
