Nick Moresi Named WAC Player of the Week

DENVER - Freshman outfielder Nick Moresi has been named the Western Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for May 10-16.
Moresi hit .667 (4-6) in two games at Hawai'i. The Clayton, Calif. native was 2-for-3 with three RBI in both games. He scored twice and hit a three-run homer in Fresno State's 8-4 win on Friday. The victory gave the Bulldogs the first series win by a WAC team in Honolulu this season.
It is Moresi's first career WAC Player of the Week award and third for a Bulldog this year.
Other player of the week nominations included: sophomore second baseman Isaac Omura, Hawai'i; senior first baseman Kyle Spangler, Louisiana Tech; and sophomore outfielder Lance Pendleton, Rice.
