Ward To Golf With Bulldogs

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State men's golf coach Mike Watney has announced the signing of Brian Ward to a national letter of intent to begin playing for the Bulldogs in the fall of 2004.
Ward, a senior at St. Mary's High School in Lodi, Calif., was last year's Northern California Junior Boy's Player of the Year.
"Brian could start on any team in the country," Watney said. "He is strong and has a mastery over his shot that few juniors have."
The Bulldogs have acquired both Northern California Junior Players of the Year with the signing of Ward. Last month, Laura Luethke, the Northern California Girl's Junior Player of the Year signed to play on Angie Cates' inaugural women's golf squad.
