FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's soccer team will conduct their annual Meet the Team event on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Sierra Vista Mall in Clovis. First-year head coach Steve Springthorpe, his staff and the women' soccer team will be on hand to greet the public, hand out this year's team poster and schedule cards and sign autographs. Season tickets are available for purchase and Fresno State cheerleaders and mascot Timeout will also be present. Admission is free. In addition, the first 200 people will receive a complimentary ticket to the Sunday, Aug. 22 exhibition contest against Fresno Pacific at 8 p.m. The 10th season of Fresno State women's soccer gets underway on Friday, Aug. 20, with an exhibition match against Cal State Stanislaus scheduled for 7 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium. The club opens the regular season on the road the following weekend with matches at UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton.
