FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State men's tennis coach Brad Dancer has announced the signing of Samuel Tadevosian to a national letter of intent to play for the Bulldogs beginning in the 2004-05 season. A native of Glendale, Calif., Tadevosian recently placed fourth in the Southern California Sectionals under-18 division after advancing all the way to the semifinals despite being seeded 10th. Tadevosian also had very impressive results as an under-16 player. He was the top-seeded player at the 2002 California Bowl and ended up winning the tournament. "Sam is a young but very talented player who we are very happy to have play for us," Dancer said. "He could contribute to the team immediately, and a couple of years down the road, he is going to be an awesome player. He is excited about coming to Fresno, and we are very excited about having him." Fresno State returns four of their top six players from a team that reached the NCAA Tournament for the 10th time in the last 11 years.
