FRESNO, Calif. - As excitement builds for the Bulldog home opener on Saturday, the Fresno State Quarterback Club will be holding two luncheons this week, one in Fresno and another in Visalia.
The Quarterback Club will be holding a luncheon on Thursday, Sept. 16, at Noon at Pardini's Restaurant. Head football coach Pat Hill will be speaking at the luncheon, which is open to the public. The cost for the luncheon is $10 for Quarterback Club members and $20 for non-members. The luncheon is limited to the first 500 fans. Pardini's is located at 2257 West Shaw Avenue in Fresno.
A second luncheon will be held at 11:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Rustler's Steakhouse, located on S. Mooney Blvd. in Visalia. Hill, along with defensive coordinator Dan Brown, will be speaking in Visalia. The cost of the Visalia luncheon is $13 for Quarterback Club members and $25 for non-members. Tickets are available for the first 110 people at the door.
The Bulldogs are off to their best start since 2001 with consecutive wins over Washington and No. 13 Kansas State. Fresno State is ranked No. 19 in this week's Associated Press College Football poll.
"There is a lot of exciting about the home opener and we welcome all Quarterback Club members and non-members to join us as we prepare for this week's game," said Hill. "It's early in the season but the Bulldogs have already accomplished a lot and we are really looking forward to coming down the ramp at Bulldog Stadium to a packed crowd of Red Wavers."
