Women's Golf To Compete In Local Tournament

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team is preparing to play in its second tournament of the season, the Sacramento State Invitational, hosted locally at the par 75 Riverside Country Club, Sept. 27-28. The Bulldogs will compete against host Sacramento State and Santa Clara.
Fresno State's team lineup includes freshmen Laura Luethke and Whitney Wade, juniors Meggie Fagundes and Adrianna Chico, and senior Holly Cornell. Sophomore Brittany Cooley and junior Yumi Chung will play as individuals in the tournament.
The Bulldogs are coming off of an individual tournament victory by Luethke and an overall eighth-place finish at Colorado State's Ptarmigan/Ram Fall Classic Sept. 13-14.
Fresno State tees off Monday at 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 8 a.m., and will play 18 holes each day.
