Men's Tennis Competes in Northwest Regionals

FRESNO, Calif. - Today the Fresno State men's tennis team commences competition in the Wilson/ITA Northwest Regionals hosted by Santa Clara. The Bulldogs have entered four players in the 128-player field and two doubles teams in the 64-team bracket. The singles finalists and doubles winner will earn automatic births into the ITA Indoor Championships, scheduled for Nov. 4-6.

In singles, junior Jakub Cech is the seventh seed overall and will play his first match in the second round at 1:15 p.m. PT. Senior Sergiu Modoc will battle Casey McMakin of UC Davis at 1 p.m. PT in the first round. Junior Charles Irie plays Chad Faulk of Hawai'i, while sophomore Sam Tadevosian takes on Henri Landes of UC Davis.
