FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's Adrianna Chico has been selected as the women's Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for April 4-10.

Chico, a junior from Hacienda Heights, Calif., tied for eighth at the Peg Barnard Invitational hosted by Stanford. She posted rounds of 74-73 for a 36-hole total of 147 (+5). She helped her team to a fourth place finish at the event, just behind the nation's 20th-ranked team, Stanford.

"Adrianna is very deserving of this recognition," head coach Angie Cates said. "She's been one of our most consistent players all year and she's a huge reason for our success thus far."

Chico has recorded three individual top-ten finishes thus far, including a fourth-place tie at the Cal Poly Invitational in November.

Fresno State next competes April 18-20 at the WAC Championships being hosted by Boise State in Kuna, Idaho.
