FRESNO, Calif. - One day after Fox Sports Net announced it will broadcast the Fresno State vs. USC football game on Nov. 19, ABC has announced plans to televise the Fresno State vs. Hawaii football game on Oct. 29. The game will begin at 4 p.m. PT.
The game will be shown regionally on the West Coast and will reach nearly 20 percent of the nation, hitting the states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona and Nevada.
"This is additional exposure for our program," said head coach Pat Hill. "I think it says a lot about Bulldog football and WAC football that ABC is doing games this year, for the first time in a long time. Hawaii has been one of our best rivals over the years and it will be great to show the West Coast how good WAC football is."
Fresno State now has six games planned for television this year, five of them nationally. ESPN and ESPN2 are carrying three games (Toledo, Boise State and Louisiana Tech) and Fox Sports Net will broadcast the game against two-time defending national champion USC.
Including the 2005 season, the Bulldogs have 33 national appearances this decade. The remainder of the Bulldog television schedule will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for the 2005 season are available at the Bulldog Ticket Office (559) 278-DOGS or on-line at www.gobulldogs.com.
