Eight Lucky Students Will Win David Carr's Money

FRESNO, Calif.- In honor of David Carr's No. 8 jersey retirement prior to the Fresno State-Toledo football game on Sept. 27, eight Fresno State students will have an opportunity to "Win David Carr's Money."
Eight Fresno State students will win a $500 book voucher from the Kennel Bookstore for the spring semester, made possible by a donation from Carr. Students can register at the Bookstore on campus, the Bulldog Ticket Office, the Bulldog Shop, USU information window and the University Courtyard Atrium.
Students must register by Monday, Sept. 26, at noon and the drawing will be held later that afternoon at the Bookstore. Promotion is eligible for new or re-enrolling students for the spring 2006 semester.
"I'm happy to be able to give something back to the students," said Carr. "Being a student at Fresno State was a special experience for me and my family. Hopefully this will help students in their pursuit of higher edcuation."
Fresno State (1-1) and Toledo (3-0) will be meeting for the first time on the gridiron. The game is a 6 p.m. kick-off and will be nationally televised by ESPN2.
In addition to the book voucher contest and Carr's jersey retirement, there are several other promotions scheduled for Tuesday night's contest. They include:

Fans can purchase two tickets and get two hot dogs and two soft drinks for $50.

There will be a commemorative David Carr poster included in each of the Bulldog Gridiron Gameday programs. These programs can be purchased for $5 at Bulldog Stadium.
